BUZZDOCK 2.0 PRIVACY POLICY

  • 1. INTRODUCTION

    Buzzdock is a downloadable browser add-on ("Buzzdock") distributed by Alactro LLC (the "Company", "we" or "us"), the operator of www.Buzzdock.com and Search.Buzzdock.com (the "Sites"). Buzzdock enhances the search functionality of your favorite search engines and websites. Adobe Flash Player is required to enable Buzzdock’s functionality. Buzzdock, the Sites, and any related features, products, services, functionalities or content offered by the Company shall be referred to herein as the "Services". The Company and Services are based in the U.S. Use of the Services is governed by the Buzzdock Terms of Service currently available at www.Buzzdock.com/Terms. You must be 18 or over to use the Services.

    This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the Services. This Privacy Policy describes the Company’s collection and use of users’ personal information (e.g., information that identifies a specific person, such as full name or email address), and non-personally identifiable information (e.g., interests, demographics and site usage).

    Buzzdock is free to download and use. Buzzdock is supported by advertising, and users will see additional search ads on websites where Buzzdock features operate. These ads will be marked with the Buzzdock name, logo or other identifier. Buzzdock and all related ads are not affiliated with or endorsed by any underlying websites.

  • 2. COLLECTION OF INFORMATION

    User Submitted Information

    Users are not required to create an account or register to use Buzzdock. However, when contacting us for issues related to the Services, you may submit personal information (such as your full name, e-mail address, and other identifying information) to allow us to effectively respond to your inquiry or request. Your submission is voluntary and you have the choice not to disclose any information to us.

    Collected Information

    Use of the Services. When users access or use the Services, certain non-personally identifiable information is collected, stored and used for business and marketing purposes, such as maintaining and improving the Services, conducting research, and displaying more relevant advertisements. This non-personally identifiable information includes, without limitation: IP address, unique identifier number, operating system, browser and other software information, webpage URLs visited, and search queries entered. This collected data may also be supplemented with information obtained from third parties.

    Tracking Technologies. The Company may use browser cookies, web and DOM storage data, Adobe Flash cookies, pixels, beacons, and other tracking technologies which are comprised of small bits of data that often include an anonymous unique identifier.     Information collected from and about users may be used for the following purposes:

    To provide and manage the Services. We use the information collected to provide the Services to you, to measure and improve the Services, to personalize your experience by delivering relevant content and advertising, and to provide you with customer support and respond to inquiries. We may use aggregated or anonymous data about use of and activity on the Services to assist us in this regard.

    To allow third party service providers to assist us in providing and managing the Services. The Company may make your non-public personal information available to certain third party service providers, such as contractors or agents, who help us manage or provide the Services. Such examples of services include, without limitation: advertising and marketing, developing or supporting products and functionalities, and processing data or statistics.     To complete a merger or sale of assets. If the Company sells all or part of its business or makes a sale or transfer of its assets or is otherwise involved in a merger or transfer of all or a material part of its business, the Company may transfer your information to the party or parties involved in the transaction as part of that transaction.

    Means of Notice and Privacy Policy Modifications. This Privacy Policy is the means by which the Company provides you with notice about its collection and use of your personal information. The Company may modify this Privacy Policy at any time, and each such modification will be effective upon notice to you, including posting on the Site. When material updates will be made to Alactro/Buzzdock software, terms, or privacy policy, a web page will be opened within the user’s browser to notify the user of such changes before deployment of such changes. The user can accept or decline the changes. All material modifications will apply prospectively only.     Location of Data. The Services are hosted in the United States. If you are a user located outside the U.S., you understand and consent to having any personal information you provide transferred to, processed, and stored in the U.S. and other countries where data protection and other privacy laws may not offer the same level of protection as in your jurisdiction, such as the European Union. This includes the use of cookies and other tracking technologies as described above. As a result, please read this Privacy Policy with care.

    Advertised or Linked Services. The Services may be linked to or advertise third party sites or services, including online stores, rewards programs, trial offers, newsletters, contests or sweepstakes. The Company is not responsible for the privacy practices of any such third parties, and once you leave the Services via a link or click on an advertisement, you should check the applicable privacy policy of the third party service or site.

    We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personally identifiable information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

  • 6. USER CONTROL AND UNINSTALLING SOFTWARE

    You may uninstall Buzzdock at any time by following the instructions provided on the Help page (currently available at http://www.Buzzdock.com/Help). Note that after you uninstall Buzzdock, certain related files may remain on your system. These remnant files are a record of your previous download of the Company's software, and are not executable programs. These files help the Company to prevent fraud on the Services and to better service you if you choose to download Buzzdock again.
